The Missouri State Human Resource Management Council (SHRMC) was created in 1975 to provide a more effective statewide human resource management system for state government agencies.  A representative from each agency represents their agency on the council.  The SHRMC meets monthly to discuss human resource topics and provide a forum for human resource managers.

Our Mission

To provide a forum to State human resource managers for coordinating, reviewing, and recommending effective statewide human management systems; and to enhance the climate for motivation and development of State government human resources to best serve the citizens of Missouri.

The SHRMC is committed to the following goals...

  • To develop and recommend human resource policies and procedures to better serve the management and employees of the State of Missouri.
  • To take a leading role in the development of a total human resource system including equalization of benefits, services, pay, etc., for all State employees.
  • To enhance the image of the State as an employer.
  • To identify human resource issues with potential impact on effective functioning of State government and make recommendations.
